Worshipping Life

There are two main services in the week, both at 10am.

On a Wednesday we have a short said Eucharist which is followed by coffee and biscuits and is ideal for people who find Sunday mornings difficult. The highlight of the week at St Mary’s is Sunday morning. It is a joy to meet together to worship God, to share in bread and wine and to be changed and inspired by meeting with God. We have a Sunday School for children aged 3 to 11 every week and a group for Secondary School children once a fortnight.

We are a Church which pursues excellence in worship and preaching, and takes the Eucharist very seriously, which feels that we find our own meaning and story in the purpose and story of Jesus and his love for us.

We also try to bring out the beauty and rhythm of the Christian year by doing things differently in each season, with changes of tone and emphasis to draw out the themes of Advent and Christmas, of Lent and Easter and so on.

Worship is the highlight of the week, and what God has made us for.
